This ist my ASTARTE HK 200 . made in Italy. The ASTARTE logo is a little Aladdin lamp. Is ASTARTE older than SOLEX and FAIR ? Regards,Reinhard
From the PLC:- This factory began production of lamps in England in 1924. 3 years later the factory moved to Naples. The brand name and logo were registered to Beniamino Vautier 3rd May 1940 and again 30th November 1949. Production of lamps ended in 1961, when the factory changed to making parts for the automotive industry. The company still exists as Ben Vautier Metalmeccanica S.p.a. ::Neil::
Hello Neil, That's the explanation why a small Aladdin can be seen on Astarte . It should Not forgotten that England at that time was still the leading industrial nation. I wonder if Vautier had permission to use the Aladdinlogo .The logo was already part of the brand Aladdin. Today I overhouled a second Astarte HK 200. It is quite different from the first one. Pump and Tank opening have deceived the places and much more. Regards,Reinhard
