This is a Tilley CS22 two burner kerosene stove, found in Australia. It had been rather unloved when I received it, so I spent a fair bit of time carefully getting it back into shape. I will do a separate post on fettling it. I will list other examples of this rather uncommon stove at the bottom of this post. The short Tilley stove vapouriser next to a Tilley 606 vapouriser. 7/1960 The trivets have “British” and “NOC” under the enamel (very hard to see). The burners The stand Up and running As it came [I hope this arrives safely…] The stove is working very well. The orange in the flame shots is not the stove running rich as I’ve had it running for a long time boiling many different pots, with no soot deposits and no stink of kerosene. I suspect it’s caused by the heavy brass burner with the steel mesh and flame holders and various oxides interacting with the flame. There’ll be more photos when I do the fettling post, but if there’s any detail wanted, I’m happy to oblige.
