@Mackburner Neil, I seem to remember a picture of probably an Al21 with a square shutter arrangement on the front. Not the tri-colour one but just a lever and shutter type thing to close of the light output, I also seem to remember it was removable. Could this be for something similar? I wish I could find the pictures of what I’m thinking of but I can’t.
We published an article on these lamps and the rocket carts in Light International Vol 5 issue 3 summer 2002. These magazines were available to download from the Guild web site but I don't think they are still available anywhere on line now. It is a shame really as they were full of interesting articles and I know I scanned around 580 pages from all six volumes so they could be published on line. I do however still have all the scans as well as the volumes as PDF files. ::Neil::
